My Philosophy...
My main purpose is to increase the self esteem and improve the confidence of my models, by creating unique, stylish and flattering images.
In my experience, the more at ease you are, if you feel totally comfortable with your photographer, clothes, make up, location, the more flattering and free spirited your poses become, your confidence shows, the more they impress your clients, the more work you get with better choice of clientele who would respect and treat you better.
I pose my models in ways that will enhance the best angles and show off their features. I use different lighting and props to suit each personality and look, as well as help choose the most flattering clothes, I have quite a variety of sexy little outfits and lingerie to try on, from Victoria Secret, to Erox and Dreamy lingerie, costumes, evening dresses and little teasing dresses.
Not having any limits for what I photograph and inhibitions myself, it usually helps the models to get in to the mood to create anything they desire, not feeling judged or embarrassed.
How I work -
I have fully equipped studio in Balwyn North, or can shoot on location with battery operated studio flashes.
After the shoot, I go thru the images, delete all the bad ones, and tweak the rest for colour, sharpness, contrast enhancement. Make contact sheets, and email my client to have a look at, usually within 24 hours as I know how curious people are to see their shots!
Once they choose which ones to airbrush, I process them to suit their needs. Some are after very light skin retouching and tattoos removal, some are after substantial body enhancement and reshaping. Once that's been done, I mail the disk, with all the photos and wait for receipt confirmation, after which (if asked) I delete the images off my hard drive, to guarantee total confidentiality.
A bit about myself...
I grew up with film and cameras all around me, with a dark room in our bathroom. My dad left his job as an engineer to become a photographer when I was very little. As a teenager I was helping shoot weddings and bands in a family business in Eastern Europe and then the Middle East.
When I moved to Australia, by myself, at the age of 16, I studied natural medicine and practiced for a short while, as well as doing some modeling for a bit of cash till I decided to pick up the camera again.
This time, on my own terms, having my very own digital SLR shooting was so very different. I concentrated on shooting models, numerous catalogues, fashion shows, men's magazines (as they were all familiar with my work as a model), as well as doing private shoots for couples capturing their most intimate moments, which I really enjoyed. Basically just doing all the fun things.
I am not afraid of sexuality, and feel that responsible sexuality exists best in an atmosphere where friendship, love, and intimacy are not scarce and we are liberated from internalised shame.
I love to experiment with light, colour, form, and with digital post processing to create edgy lighting and effects. It is my goal to create many different and unique looks, and experiment with what can be achieved. As a photographer I believe in bringing out the best in each of my models. Regardless of weight, size, or body shape, each person has a unique personality and inner beauty that can be expressed - if only it is brought out from within.
